Hot rods became more than just modified cars—they became a symbol of American individuality, youth rebellion, and technical creativity. In the 1950s and 1960s, hot rods were featured in movies, music, and television. Films like Rebel Without a Cause (1955) and songs like The Beach Boys’ “Little Deuce Coupe” glorified the lifestyle. Custom builders like Ed “Big Daddy” Roth and George Barris elevated hot rod design to an art form.

What We Look For

Our passion is cars and our unique experience has brought us all together to share what we love. As a group we have a collection that ranges from rare and vintage cars to some of the newest made, and we love to show them off. Look for the Igniters Drag Plaque and there will be an Igniter close by. With over 100 family members in this club, you are sure to see some Bedford Igniters at a show or cruise-in near you.

What We Look For

"I've never seen a car I didn't like" is our motto! All cars, trucks, and motorcycles are welcome. We pride ourselves with the diversity our club has to offer. This is a club for all ages and interest levels!

We may be at different stages in our car growth; so, everyone is welcome, modern riders, old school hot rods, to modern muscle cars..

Between all of our members, we have a diverse exciting collection of cars. You can catch us at our monthly Cruise-ins at the County Line Market & Cafe, the 1st weekend of each month, 20677 Lynchburg Hwy, Forest, Va 24551 or

on the 3rd Thursday of each month, at the Original Italian Pizza (O.I.P.) in Bedford (Beside Tractor Supply) 6:30-8:00pm (Feb - Nov).

A Club for All Ages

Our membership is made up of members ages 18-85; with experience in auto mechanics, auto body repair, engineering, military, hardscape architecture, general construction, to high school students. If you enjoy nostalgia and automobiles, this is a community club for you. Come out and join the fun!!

The Igniters Official Colors

Dating back to 1958, the original igniter club colors are Red and Black. The club by-laws recognize these colors still today. Understanding that not everyone can wear red or black, the club authorizes the wear of white garments with the historic red or black logo.

How to Apply for Membership...

Simply complete the club application and turn in the application to a club officer. Become an Igniter 4 Life. Pay a one time fee of $75 and no more dues for life. Ask for your club member application at rhinorider09@aol.com, or come to our meeting and one will be provided to you. Its that easy!

How much is a Basic club sponsor?

A "Basic" sponsor fee is $500 per year which gets your company adverstising on this site which reaches thousands of viewers each year.

What is an Intermediate sponsor?

An "Intermediate" sponsor will have their company logo on all electronic and printed media with a guarantee of at least 5 events in the region displaying your logo. The fee is $750 per year.

What is a Gold sponsor?

The top sponsorship is our "Gold" sponsor which costs $1,000 per year. This sposnorship guarantees your companies logo will be displayed on club banners, printed materials, electronic media and an add of the companies choosing as a part of the clubs website. Your logo will appear at an average of 20 events per year.
